MARY HAD A BIG BIRTHDAY
“I truly cannot thank you enough for the most incredible birthday weekend. Everything was absolutely perfect, and I feel so lucky to have had you by my side throughout it all. So many of our guests have told us it was one of the best weekends they’ve ever experienced, which is such a testament to you and the extraordinary amount of thought and care you put into every detail.”
—The Birthday Girl
A fever dream Ballyfin Birthday weekend
For Mary, we took over the incomparable Ballyfin for a gloriously eccentric weekend of celebration — designed to feel generous, surprising and more than a bit theatrical.
We worked with our gorgeously creative birthday girl to curate a immersive weekend of glamour & silliness in equal measure, complete with a custom suite of stationery, scarves and flatcaps, lovingly designed by the genius Jess at Pink Moon and a day of (rather competitive) adventure the likes of which Ballyfin has never seen.

Friday began with a Tartan & Tweed dinner & Irish dancing on the lawn and late-night trad in the Cellar Bar. Saturday unfolded at a gentler pace, with the wonderfully unexpected Mysteries of Maryment treasure hunt, which took guest on an immersive jaunt through the estate, encountering iconic Irish folkloric characters, archery, shooting, pints in a Sheebeen (which we hauled in especially)… and of course a few lambs, as Mary would expect.
As evening fell, guests reconvened in suitably festive attire for cocktails, before Mary’s birthday dinner in the State Dining Room. And because no great birthday should finish politely, the celebrations continued with a glitterball-heavy party in the Orangery.
A weekend filled with music, mischief, beautiful details and the very best kind of people — Ballyfin at its most magical.
