KAYLA & TOM

It genuinely felt meant to be & then getting to chat & plan with Kate over the months leading up to the event only solidified that feeling. Kate is such a pure & kind soul with such immaculate taste. Forever present, endlessly helpful, & willing to meet you where you’re at. Throughout it all, Kate truly felt a longtime friend.

Relaxed Romance in a Wicklow Country Garden

A honey-toned, Celtic-influenced joyfest

Kayla and Tom’s wedding was one of those days that feels like it was written into the landscape itself — a medieval‑tinged love story unfolding against the wild romance of Wicklow’s coastline and ancient trees. As their planner, I loved how intentionally they leaned into what felt authentically them: mystical, slightly nerdy, and quietly elegant, rather than chasing anything too polished or predictable.

From the start, they wanted something that felt mystical and romantic, but never clichéd or overly staged. We built the day around warmth: candlelight, soft florals, and meaningful rituals that slowed everything down so guests could really feel the emotion, not just watch it go by. The aesthetic was edited and intentional — more “poetic moment” than “perfectly styled” — which made the photos feel like stills from a film.

  • The handfasting ceremony, designed and led by celebrant Niamh Callery, was the emotional core of the day. Their vows, written in their own words and full of inside references and shared memories, had guests laughing and blinking tears within the same breath. Including a first drink with their siblings and choosing to walk down with their parents added a gentle, familial warmth that grounded all the mystical inspiration and made the whole day feel true to them.

From a planner’s perspective, Kayla and Tom’s wedding was a reminder that the most memorable days are born from a clear, honest vision, a few well‑chosen rituals, and a couple who aren’t afraid to let their real selves shine through.

There are not enough ways to say thank you to Kate, but hopefully this review will catch all of your eyes & also solidify that “meant to be” feeling. Our wedding would not have been nearly as beautiful or as seamless if Kate wasn’t a part of it.
