AMELIA & DYLAN
“If I could give 10 stars I would! As father of the bride I had a lot of responsibility......i.e paying for a wedding abroad. I found Kate and her team so fantastic to work with, there were supremely prepared, competent, and thorough. Every one of the vendor relationships were professional and did a fantastic job. Every single detail was thought of and thought through. They came in perfectly on budget and the detail and organization of their process made my job so easy. Our family had the event of our lives. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND Love and Gatherings!!!”
—Amelia’s Dad, Michael
A multi-cultural celebration in the Irish countryside
Planning this wedding for New Yorkers Amelia & Dylan was a true melting pot of cultural traditions. From Amelia’s Jewish heritage, to Dylan’s Christian; their own secular way of life and Ireland’s rich nuptial traditions; this pair wanted to honour it all in their ceremony. So we had a Chuppah, Breaking the Glass, Christian prayers, a Celtic Handfasting and a Ring-Warming, too… along with lots of personal words and readings, relevant to their lives. This all took place in what could only be described as a fairy grove in the depths of Virginia’s gardens… a little spot off their usual beaten track, chosen because of its seclusion & the dramatic bridal party entrance (or emergence, as we called it) if offered, through the woods. We’re never ones to shy away from a bit of offroading.

The rest of the day unfolded in a similarly magical manner - think cocktails on the lawn, accompanied by Bluegrass, Folk and Irish tunes; Virginia’s legendary wedding dinner in their garden-soaked Pavillion; and one hell of a dance party, including a Hora and followed by Espresso Martinis, before the DJ kicked things off for round two, back in the lodge.
