Quiet Luxury at Luttrelstown Castle

From the beginning, we knew the castle itself had to lead the design story. Luttrellstown’s grand architecture, sweeping parkland and beautifully layered interiors offer so much natural character that my approach was to enhance, never compete. We leaned into a refined, romantic aesthetic that sat comfortably within the historic rooms – soft, tonal florals, candlelight in abundance, and considered details that felt at home in an Irish country house.

For Emily & Tyler, it was essential that the weekend felt welcoming rather than formal, luxurious yet never showy. Every decision, from the ceremony setting to the flow of cocktails on the terrace and the pacing of dinner and speeches, was made with guest experience in mind. I worked closely with an incredible creative team – from florals and paper to music and photography – to create a seamless journey from morning preparations right through to the late-night dancing and rainy fireworks send-off.

What I loved most about this wedding was how it held space for both grandeur and warmth. There were cinematic castle moments and sweeping views, of course, but there were also quiet pockets of connection: a love-soaked ceremony in soft Irish light, emotional toasts, children running across the lawns. That balance is always my goal – weddings that are visually beautiful, impeccably run, and above all, feel like an honest reflection of the couple at the centre of it all.
